Shakespeare; King Lear

Peter's Lutheran Church in Port Jervis, NY (31 W Main St.) is hosting a reading of Shakespear's play, King Lear, on January 30 at 7pm.

It is presented as a play-within-a-play, where the wrapping play is that it is a table read at a senior home. Our tagline is, "You'll laugh, you'll laugh again when you probably should be crying." Although King Lear is a tragedy, there are plenty of amusing moments with impromptu props being used for fight scenes, such as plastic utensils, umbrellas, and knitting needles.

Admission is free for students, and $10 in general.
