Elder Justice Day, held annually by the Pike County Area Agency on Aging, gathers professionals from across the state to provide stimulating and empowering presentations on aging related topics pertinent to older adults. In addition to presentations by guest speakers, many local home health agencies and community organizations will be available to offer information and answer questions on the services they provide. The Drug Take Back program will also be present at Elder Justice Day for attendees to safely dispose of unwanted, unused or expired medications.

The 11th Annual Elder Justice Day is scheduled for Friday, July 25, 2025, from 10:00 am to 2:00 pm, at the Blooming Grove Senior Center, 150 Pike County Blvd., Lords Valley, PA 18428.

“Elder Justice Day is held to educate the community on elder abuse, an issue that affects 1 in 10 older adults,” said Tracy Simon, Protective Service Supervisor. “By attending this event, seniors will gain valuable knowledge and resources to identify, prevent, and respond to situations.”

Please call the Aging office at (570) 775-5550 by July 21, 2025, to reserve your spot at Elder Justice Day. Registration is free and includes a light breakfast courtesy of ARDC Link, a hot lunch, and a door prize raffle ticket.
